Mr. Théchel Ekoungoulou is Assistant to the FAO Representative, Programme Officer. He holds a degree in rural development engineering from the Marien Ngouabi University of Brazzaville. He is also a graduate of the University of Liège where he studied environmental science and management in developing countries. Mr. Ekoungoulou has 7 years of professional experience in the FAO Representation in the Republic of Congo where he has held the positions of Programme Assistant, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and finally Programme Section Manager. Within the United Nations, Mr. Ekoungoulou is a key player in the design, implementation and supervision of FAO technical assistance projects in the Republic of Congo. Among the projects is the development of a master plan for the development of water resources for agriculture, livestock and fisheries, which will be the subject of his presentation at this forum.
